Setting Permissions on a Form

Setting permissions on a form will define who can access the Form in the Self Service portal.

By default, Forms do not have defined permissions, which means Forms are available to everyone. Form permissions do not impact who can view or edit the Form in the Self Service Designer.

Follow these instructions to add Form permissions.

  1. Click the Save As icon in the top bar or the three dots in the Form tab.
  2. Locate the Permissions table at the bottom of the Save As window, and choose the Type of User or Group in each row.
  3. The Name field displays a list of all users/groups available in the User Management menu of Resolve Actions.
  4. Select the appropriate users/groups based on your security requirements, and click Save.

Public Forms

Making a self Service Form public is a convenient way to simplify access control, as it eliminates the need for User and Group permissions. A publicly published form is detectable by all forms of web agents who may seek to harm to your company.

Use the following instructions to make a form public.

  1. In the Self Service Designer, locate the Control Panel.
  2. Check Make Public.
  3. Review the Public Form Disclaimer before clicking Accept.
    • After accepting the disclaimer, a URL will appear under the "Make Public" checkbox.
  4. Copy the URL to your clipboard.
    • Note: The URL is read-only.
